wetter-luxemburg.lu is an independent weather site in Luxembourg. Not a generic portal telling the same story everywhere, but a site built specifically around the towns, regions and warning system in Luxembourg. The same editorial approach runs several national weather sites across Europe and beyond, each with its own towns, regions and language — wetter-luxemburg.lu is the edition for Luxembourg.
Everywhere in Luxembourg, the site has a dedicated page for every town: the next few hours, a 7-day table, a 15-day trend, and, where available, an interactive map of temperatures, wind and pollen. Every region page gathers its towns and its own climate trend, so you can compare two parts of the country at a glance.
Beyond the forecast, every page also brings together wind, the UV index, air quality and, where the data exists, pollen: the idea is that a single page should cover the essentials before you head out, without opening five tabs to cross-check five different sources.
Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, an open weather service that combines several numerical weather models — the European ICON from Germany's DWD, the American GFS from NOAA, and the ECMWF IFS, the global reference — and picks the most reliable source for each town and each time range, at its exact coordinates and elevation. The alerts shown on the site come from the official Meteoalarm feed, fed in Luxembourg by MeteoLux: we don't issue any warning ourselves, we only relay what the competent authority reports.
Forecasts are recalculated three times a day, and the live block on every page refreshes every hour; the 7-day and 15-day tables are rebuilt every night from the latest available data.
wetter-luxemburg.lu is not an official warning service and should never replace safety instructions: in case of dangerous weather, MeteoLux is the authority that matters, and we simply relay their bulletins. We're not meteorologists either: we gather and display public data, we don't produce it.
wetter-luxemburg.lu doesn't sell any personal data, and doesn't resell its forecasts to other sites either: the site lives on advertising shown next to the content, never instead of a figure or an alert. We'd rather keep a page a little plainer but accurate than spectacular but approximate.
